St Basil’s Homes is an aged care service provider under the auspice of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and has 4 residential facilities with a total of 400 beds.

To support their philosophy to provide a standard of care and service to their residents and clients so that they may enjoy the maximum quality of life within a safe and secure and caring environment, St Basils implemented iCare’s Clinical and Care Solution.

One of the key decision points for selecting iCare was their track record of implementing software on time and on budget. This was no exception for the St Basil’s experience with iCare.

St Basil’s biggest challenge during the 5 month implementation at all four facilities was the change management process.With such a diverse number of staff who would be required to use iCare, the acceptance in using the product was a great challenge.

As iCare Project Manager, Evi Giameos set to the challenge.“By putting initiatives in place such as weeklong information sessions, newsletters, surveys, frequently asked question papers and discussions with staff drove the change management process. It made the transition from a paper based system to an IT system transparent and empowered staff to embrace the system.”
