iCare and Medical Director’s collaboration in health information exchange, eLink: iCare, is a joint initiative that allows information from Medical Director to be transferred into iCare’s Clinical, Care and Medication Management Solution. This is the outcome of a long term partnership formed between the two companies resulting in a robust eHealth solution.
Once enabled, eLink: iCare allows clinical information entered into Medical Director during a consultation to pass securely to the facility’s iCare software. This enables a GP to use their preferred software, and reduces the need to duplicate documentation.
This solution provides a consolidated view of up to date health information in a single electronic health record within iCare and hence eliminates the risks associated with poorly informed decision making. The ultimate aim is to improve the resident’s health outcomes, and thus improve customer satisfaction, by providing a simpler method to communicate for the user base of both Medical Director and iCare.
