Today, iCare’s customer base exceeds 40,000+ licensed beds for our Clinical and Care Solution and 13,000+ licensed beds for our Medication Management System.

History

Originally commencing in 1996, iCare was developed out of 5 years research and development on a multi discipline care planning algorithm by Dr E.W. (Bill) Koch, Senior Lecturer in Gerontics at Latrobe University.

The outcome was an expert system which supports an evidence based outcomes approach to clinical and care documentation in aged care. Through further research and development, iCare developed algorithms and provided user interfaces to bring Dr. Koch’s unique solution to life.

In 2006, iCare released an interface with the finance system, Epicor SLS. In September 2007, iCare opened an office in the UK. In 2008, iCare acquired RxRight Medication Management System which is now integrated into the Clinical and Care Solution. In 2009, iCare commenced an ePrescribing trial in New Zealand and created an interface with Medical Director 3 to populate GP information in iCare’s solution.
