Golden OpportunITy – How information technology can rejuvenate Australia’s aged care sector

Church Resources and KPMG have released a white paper which investigates the opportunity technology provides to rejuvenate Australia’s aged healthcare sector. The white paper is an outcome of the knowledge and insights gained by Church Resources and KPMG from a collaborative project known as ConnectCare.

ConnectCare is a project designed to help small not-for-profit aged care facilities improve their level of care, effectiveness and efficiency through broadband and information technology. The project was supported by funding from the Federal Government’s Clever Networks program.

iCare are one of the partners in the program and iCare's Clinical & Care application was a key component in the overall solution for the aged care providers involved in the project.

I would recommend that you order a free copy of the white paper as it provides an understanding of where the Australian aged care industry is today and the opportunity that exists for technology to improve the quality of life for older Australians.
